Unite Group Plans Sale of Up to 20,000 Beds to Streamline Portfolio

04:30 AM EDT, 07/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Unite Group (UTG.L) said Tuesday it plans to dispose of 15,000 to 20,000 beds as it looks to reduce its presence to 20 cities from 29. The student accommodation owner and operator plans to use the proceeds to fund its 6,000-bed development and university partnerships pipeline. The strategy is expected to result in a future portfolio of 55,000 to 60,000 beds, compared with 72,000 beds as of June 30.
