12:08 AM EDT, 07/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Social Chamber of the National Court ordered H&M Hennes & Mauritz (HM-B.ST) on Monday to immediately cease daily visual inspection of employees' bags and the random checks of lockers. In its ruling on legal proceedings initiated by Spanish trade unions Unión General de Trabajadores and CCOO, the court said the inspections violate the privacy of the Swedish fast fashion retailer's workers. The court also said there are less invasive measures that can be taken to satisfy the objective of the visual inspections. H&M did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
