According to a press release from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the severe tropical storm “Hongxia” is gradually moving away from Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Hospital Authority said that as of 12:00 noon on July 26, 9 men and 12 women were injured during the storm and were treated in the emergency department of public hospitals. As of 1:10 p.m., the Home Affairs Department had opened a total of 29 temporary shelters in all districts, with a total of 246 residents. As of 1:00 p.m., the Government's 1823 Call Centre and the Fire Services Department had received 88 and 243 reports of tree collapse, respectively, while the Drainage Services Department had received 8 reports of flooding. The Government has received no reports of landslides.
