Bloomsbury Publishing to Benefit from $1.5 Billion Anthropic Settlement

03:04 AM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bloomsbury Publishing (BMY.L) is among the beneficiaries of a $1.5 billion class action settlement agreed by artificial intelligence company Anthropic. The settlement, related to Anthropic's training of its AI models on content without purchasing it, was formally approved by the US District Court, according to a Wednesday release. The UK-listed publishing company said that 14,087 of its titles are part of the settlement, and the proposed settlement is $3,000 per title.
