On the afternoon of July 21, the 2nd Sino-Italian Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference and the China-Italy Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Ma Hui, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, Hu Wei, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, Peru, Chairman of the Italian Parliament's “Friends of China” Association, and Antea, Italian Consul General in Shanghai, attended and delivered speeches. The cooperation and exchange meeting was co-organized by the China Economic Liaison Center, the Zhejiang Foreign Affairs Office, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. More than 80 people attended, including representatives from the Chinese local government and business community, as well as a delegation of Italian multi-party politicians led by Peyrouffe, business people, and representatives of the Italian Embassy and Consulate in China. Ma Hui said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the three-year action plan to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy is progressing steadily. This year marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan. Currently, China is vigorously promoting high-quality development and a high level of opening-up to the outside world. The potential for cooperation between China and Italy is huge. The two sides should jointly maintain the stability and smooth flow of the global industrial chain supply chain, rely on bilateral cooperation mechanisms and the normalization of platforms to develop industrial connections, and explore the potential for cooperation in fields such as new energy, high-end equipment, green and low-carbon, humanities, science and education. The International Department of the CPC Central Committee will further enhance the effectiveness of the “political party+practical cooperation” and “political party+local” platforms to provide more support for exchanges and cooperation between enterprises and regions of the two countries.
