Zhitong Finance App News, Lianchuang Co., Ltd. (300343.SZ) issued an announcement. According to market demand, in line with the company's development and plans, the company's holding subsidiary Inner Mongolia Lianhe Fluorocarbon New Material Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Inner Mongolia Lianhe”) plans to invest in the construction of 12,000 tons/year VDF and supporting industrial chain product projects in the Wuhai Hainan High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Low Carbon Industrial Park), 25,000 tons/year. The project construction includes: 12,000 tons/year VDF (ethylene fluoride), 25,000 tons/year R152a per year (Difluoroethane) production capacity, and the establishment of supporting production facilities. The total investment for the construction of the project is approximately RMB 550 million.

The VDF produced by the project is the core raw material for the production of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride). The main products R142b (difluoroethylene chloride) and R152a (difluoroethane) are the main raw materials for the production of VDF. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is currently the second most widely used fluoropolymer in the world because it has good chemical resistance, weather resistance, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, and wear resistance, and also has excellent properties such as dielectricity and thermoelectricity. With the development of the new energy, energy storage and photovoltaic industries, PVDF is widely used as a main component of new energy lithium battery binders, diaphragm coatings and photovoltaic backsheet films, and is also widely used in petrochemical, electronics, pharmaceuticals, construction, environmental protection, batteries, semiconductors, aerospace and other industries. Especially in lithium batteries, PVDF is mainly used as a cathode binder in auxiliary materials. Due to its good bonding ability, PVDF accounts for more than 90% of the market share. Benefiting from the growing market demand for power batteries and energy storage batteries, PVDF is still strong in the medium to long term.
