UK's Monthly Manufacturing Output Edges Up 0.1% in May

02:16 AM EDT, 07/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's monthly manufacturing production was up 0.1% in May, following a revised 0.5% gain in the prior month, the Office for National Statistics said Thursday. Analysts expected a 0.2% dip for the month. On a yearly basis, British manufacturing output rose 2.3%, compared with the 1% growth earlier and the consensus estimate of a 1.9% increase.
