Ray Attrill, head of foreign exchange strategy at National Australia Bank, said in comments that developments such as “the intensification of military operations between Iran and the US on Sunday and Monday” have made “a very bad start to the week for risk assets”. Among the worst performing constituent stocks in Japan's benchmark index, Yaskawa Electric fell 8.8%, Fujikura fell 6.4%, and Kokusai Electric fell 6.4%.
