PureTech Health: Celea Therapeutics Kicks Off Late-stage Trial for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Drug

04:43 AM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- PureTech Health (PRTC.L) said founded entity Celea Therapeutics commenced patient dosing in its late-stage study to evaluate deupirfenidone as a treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The phase 3 Surpass-Ipf trial is assessing the efficacy of deupirfenidone 825 milligrams three times daily, compared with pirfenidone 801 mg with the same daily dose, according to a Monday filing. The primary endpoint of the trial, which expects to enroll 1,100 patients, will be the change from baseline in absolute forced vital capacity. Topline results are expected in the second half of 2029.
