In view of the new economic losses caused by the red tide disaster, complex disaster trends, and disaster prevention, mitigation and relief needs, according to the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Natural Resources's “Red Tide Disaster Emergency Response Plan” and the “Hainan Marine Disaster Emergency Response Plan”, the Hainan Marine Disaster Emergency Response Office decided to launch the Red Tide Disaster Level III emergency response at 11:00 on July 12, 2026. Relevant departments in coastal cities, counties and provinces are requested to implement all red tide emergency response and disaster prevention and mitigation measures in strict accordance with the three-level response action.
