On May 4, local time, in response to US President Trump's plan to “guide” ships trapped in the Strait of Hormuz to leave, Ibrahim Rezai, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, said that to open up the Strait of Hormuz, Iran must recognize Iran's right to dominate the strait. Rezai said that if he wants to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, he will either accept failure and reach an agreement to recognize Iran's dominance over the strait; or return to the battlefield to bear further consequences.
