The anti-counterfeiting inquiry system is an authoritative channel for consumers to discern the authenticity of products and protect their rights and interests. However, some lawbreakers have taken up the idea of counterfeiting anti-counterfeiting websites and set up a number of copycat anti-counterfeiting search websites with “China” and “national” names, with the domain name “315” or even fraudulently using the “3.15” logo, turning search and rights protection channels into traps. In January of this year, the official website of the Central Internet Information Office's Reporting Center received reports from netizens that four websites, including the “China Product Supervision 315 Anti-Counterfeiting Search System” and “National Quality Supervision and Anti-Counterfeiting System”, used “315” or “12315” digitally registered domain names. The website content displayed names such as “National Certain Platform” and “National XX Platform”, and promoted them on search engines to profit by customizing so-called national traceability anti-counterfeiting labels, which misled consumers. The center staff checked and collected evidence from the above websites and sorted out 46 domestic websites. According to the principle of territorial management, they were separately handed over to 11 local Internet information departments, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Zhejiang, to take measures to shut down or rename them.
