Soiltech Lands Fluid Treatment, Waste Handling Contract for Semisubmersible Rig

11:44 AM EST, 01/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Soiltech (STECH.OL) secured a contract to provide fluid treatment, onshore waste handling and other associated services on the Deepsea Yantai rig on the Norwegian continental shelf. The Norway-based water and solid waste treatment company signed the contract with DNO, Wellesley Petroleum and Well Expertise, according to a Thursday release. It categorized the deal as a large contract, which it values at above 20 million Norwegian kroner. Soiltech expects the contract for the harsh environment semisubmersible rig to begin in the first quarter and conclude at the end of 2026.
