The China Geological Survey of the Ministry of Natural Resources released news on January 8 that the bureau, in conjunction with the Department of Natural Resources of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, carried out chromite prospecting exploration in the area covered by the Xinjiang Salto Hainan Mine Belt, and discovered 27 new mineral groups in the Salto Sea, defining 20 ore bodies, with an average grade of 30.73%, achieving the largest prospecting discovery in the region in nearly 40 years.
