11:45 AM EST, 01/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aker Solutions (AKSO.OL) expects to trim its employee headcount by over 500 as it reduces capacity due to a projected decline in workload in 2026, according to a Wednesday release. The workforce reduction will impact staff at the Norwegian energy industry services company's production facilities and its engineering and support units at home and abroad. About 300 jobs in Verdal, Norway, are expected to be cut starting in early spring. Aker, which has 12,000 permanent full-time employees, said the number of affected workers may still change and that the layoffs will be carried out through natural attrition and redundancies.
