Recently, Jiangsu Province issued the “Implementation Guidelines for the Intelligent Digital Transformation to Connected Electric Vehicle Industry in the Jiangsu Manufacturing Industry” to guide electric vehicle companies to continuously upgrade the application of emerging technologies, key technologies, business links, and core elements, and further promote the transformation and development of the industry. The guide is mainly aimed at midstream enterprises in the electric vehicle industry chain in Jiangsu Province. Based on the complexity of electric vehicle product development and manufacturing and the requirements of electric vehicle industry standards, it is proposed to consider that large, medium and small enterprises have different digital foundations and resources and adopt different implementation paths on the path of intelligent transformation to digital connectivity: automakers should aim to build industry benchmarks and lead industrial upgrading; medium-sized enterprises should focus on key areas to achieve breakthroughs in cooperation; and processing support enterprises and small and micro enterprises should focus on core needs to achieve low-cost transformation.
