The reporter learned yesterday that the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau recently replied on the People's Online leaders' message board revealing that Shenzhen is promoting a closed loop of “full chain” supervision of electric bicycles. The bureau also revealed that with regard to the order control of electric bicycles, the municipal party committee and municipal government have included them in key urban governance projects, set up special work classes, and issued work plans. In response to the huge supply and demand conflict between the large number of electric bicycles and tight road resources at this stage, we have mobilized the participation of all departments of the city by formulating special regulations for electric bicycle control, building a city-wide electric bicycle management platform, and increasing the construction of supporting transportation facilities such as non-motorized lanes throughout the city, to strengthen supervision and close the loop throughout the entire chain, from front-end sales and replacement to road driving, and back-end parking and charging, to fundamentally improve the current electric bicycle traffic chaos.
