At around 3 p.m. on the same day, after receiving complaints from the public, law enforcement officers from the Nanzhou Subdistrict Office quickly arrived at the site and ordered the construction unit to stop work immediately and not resume construction without permission. On January 4, 2026, in order to respond to social concerns, the Haizhu District Committee and District Government set up a joint investigation team led by district leaders and composed of departments such as the District Housing and Construction Bureau, the District Urban Management Bureau, and the District Ecological Environment Branch to carefully investigate and verify the incident process and understand the impact of surrounding businesses, residents and related units. The investigation will be promptly reported. We will resolutely investigate and punish illegal construction acts in accordance with the law, and make every effort to maintain a safe and orderly urban environment.
