The total number of building sales contracts in Hong Kong in December 2025 was 8,999, up 26.4% month-on-month

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on January 5, the Land Registry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government published statistics for December 2025. A total of 8,999 property sales contracts of all types were submitted for registration with the Land Registry in December (up 26.4% from November and 63.3% compared with December 2024).

Based on the 12-month moving average, the number of building sales contracts in December was 6,725 (up 4.5% from November and 18.7% compared with December 2024).

The total value of building sales contracts in December was HK$65 billion (up 11.3% from November and 52.0% compared with December 2024).

Among the above sales contracts, residential property sales contracts accounted for 5,883 (up 5.3% from November and 43.4% compared with December 2024).

The total value of residential property sales contracts in December was HK$512 billion (down 0.9% from November and up 57.3% compared with December 2024).

The number of public checks in December was 377,908 (down 2.0% from November, up 15.6% compared with December 2024).
