The Ministry of Transport said in a statement that in the early days of the resumption of flights, all flights took off only from Aden and mainly operated four regional destinations, namely Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan, and Cairo, Egypt. Aden International Airport is the only major airport still in operation in Yemen recently. It is controlled by the Southern Transitional Council of Yemen. On January 1, the Ministry of Transport, which is loyal to the Southern Transitional Council, ordered the suspension of all flights to and from Aden International Airport.
