Over the last year, a good number of insiders have significantly increased their holdings in Dometic Group AB (publ) (STO:DOM). This is encouraging because it indicates that insiders are more optimistic about the company's prospects.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Dometic Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by insider Stefan Fristedt for kr7.9m worth of shares, at about kr46.47 per share. That implies that an insider found the current price of kr47.92 per share to be enticing. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. The good news for Dometic Group share holders is that insiders were buying at near the current price.
