  • The Multifamily Group (TMG) announced the sale of Bentwood and The Bend at Bentwood in Lubbock, Texas, totaling 280 units. Bentwood consists of 216 units built in 1983, and The Bend at Bentwood consists of 64 units built in 2014. Both properties are located directly across from the new West End development and Lubbock’s only Costco. The buyer, completing a 1031 exchange, assumed existing Fannie Mae financing and marked their first acquisition in the Lubbock market.
  • Canyon Partners Real Estate provided a senior bridge loan to support the refinancing and lease-up of The Bouldin, a 309-unit newly built, Class-A mixed-use project in Austin, Texas and 1301 S. Lamar, a 138,000 square foot office building. The financing was provided to a joint venture led by Seamless Capital. JLL Capital Markets arranged the financing for the transaction, which was led by the firm’s Austin office, including Doug Opalka, Kyle Spencer, and Patrick McCord.
  • HPM hired Hector Arvizo as director of project controls. Arvizo will be based out of HPM’s Dallas office, but will oversee the project controls service line for the entire company. Prior to his new role at HPM, he served as a project controls manager for companies including Jacobs, Worley, TritenIAG and SK Engineering & Construction Co.
  • Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Dry Dock & Lock, a 182-unit self-storage property in Waxahachie, Texas. Danny Cunningham, Brandon Karr and Jon Danklefs, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Fort Worth and San Antonio offices, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a DFW-based storage group, and procured the buyer, 10 Federal Storage. Located at 4009 Ovilla Road, Dry Dock & Lock features 182 storage units totaling 98,700 rentable square feet on 25 acres. 
  • JLL appointed Torrey Littlejohn, a twenty-year veteran with the firm and DFW real estate expert, as North Texas Broker Lead. Littlejohn has led the firm’s Office Tenant Representation Group since 2022 and will spearhead continued growth of the firm’s brokerage teams in North Texas, overseeing more than 200 employees, in her new role. Littlejohn specializes in office tenant representation, known best for her work with the financial services industry. She has transacted over 20 million square feet of real estate during her time at JLL.
