Nationwide: UK Annual House Prices Climb 0.6% in December 2025

02:14 AM EST, 01/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The annual growth rate of house prices in the UK slowed to 0.6% in December 2025, from 1.8% a month ago, according to data from the Nationwide Building Society published Friday. The consensus estimate for the month was 1.2%. The average price of houses was 271,068 pounds sterling, down from 272,998 pounds in the previous month. On a monthly basis, seasonally adjusted house prices were 0.4% lower, against the 0.3% increase earlier and the expected 0.1% gain.
