Internet business revenue is growing steadily. From January to November, Internet and related service enterprises above the size of China (hereinafter referred to as Internet companies) completed Internet business revenue of 1803.4 billion yuan, an increase of 1% over the previous year, and the growth rate fell 0.1 percentage points from January to October. The decline in total profit was generally stable. From January to November, Internet enterprises above the scale of China achieved a total profit of 137.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over January-October. The growth rate of R&D funding is slowing down. From January to November, Internet enterprises above the scale of China invested a total of 95.74 billion yuan in R&D, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year, and the growth rate fell 0.4 percentage points from January to October.

Operation of the Internet and related services industry from January to November 2025

I. Overall operation

Internet business revenue is growing steadily. From January to November, Internet and related service enterprises above the size of China (hereinafter referred to as Internet companies) completed Internet business revenue of 1803.4 billion yuan, an increase of 1% over the previous year, and the growth rate fell 0.1 percentage points from January to October.

The decline in total profit was generally stable. From January to November, Internet enterprises above the scale of China achieved a total profit of 137.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over January-October.

The growth rate of R&D funding is slowing down. From January to November, Internet enterprises above the scale of China invested a total of 95.74 billion yuan in R&D, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year, and the growth rate fell 0.4 percentage points from January to October.

II. Operation by region

Internet business revenue in the eastern region maintained a good growth trend. From January to November, the eastern region completed Internet business revenue of 1621.4 billion yuan, an increase of 2.9% over the previous year, which is 1.9 percentage points higher than the national growth rate, accounting for 89.9% of the country's Internet business revenue. The central region completed Internet business revenue of 67.37 billion yuan. The western region completed Internet business revenue of 111.43 billion yuan. The Northeast region completed Internet business revenue of 3.18 billion yuan.

Internet business revenue is growing rapidly in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. From January to November, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region completed Internet business revenue of 591.3 billion yuan, an increase of 9.1% over the previous year, accounting for 32.8% of the country's Internet business revenue. The Yangtze River Delta region completed Internet business revenue of 616.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.7%, accounting for 34.2% of the country's Internet business revenue.

Internet business revenue has increased positively in nearly 30% of regions. From January to November, Beijing (9.5% increase), Guangdong (increase of 7.3%), Shanghai (decrease of 9.5%), Zhejiang (increase of 10.9%), and Guizhou (increase of 4.8%), which ranked in the top 5 for cumulative Internet business revenue, completed business revenue of 1523.9 billion yuan, an increase of 4% over the previous year, accounting for 84.5% of the country's Internet business revenue (after deducting cross-regional enterprises). There are 8 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) that have achieved positive growth in Internet business revenue across the country. Among them, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Zhejiang, and Shaanxi grew by more than 10%.
