On December 30, the State Drug Administration held a conference in Beijing to advance pilot work on deepening medical device vigilance. The conference heard reports on the work of the first batch of pilot provinces and studied and deployed specific measures to further deepen the pilot work. Xu Jinghe, member of the party group and deputy director of the State Drug Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The conference called for thoroughly implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress and the 20th Plenary Session of the Party, deeply understanding the importance of deepening the medical device warning pilot work; clarifying the responsibilities of all parties, implementing pilot tasks, and strengthening the construction of systems and operating mechanisms; improving platforms and systems to promote “one and two wings” to enhance alerting capabilities; and making full use of AI and other technologies to strengthen technological empowerment, quickly identify risk signals, and deal with risks.
