The flight for Telespazio Ibérica, a unit of Italian aerospace and defense group Leonardo (LDO.MI), showed how the technology can operate safely and deliver real-time intelligence for critical environmental monitoring operations. The aircraft of the Abu Dhabi-listed space technology company took flight from Fuerteventura in Spain's Canary Islands and will now perform longer and higher flights for wildfire prevention and management.
