Changes in Hang Seng Index series constituent stocks due to privatization of Hang Seng Bank (00011)

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Hang Seng Index issued a document on December 30. According to the plan documents dated December 15, 2025, the proposal to privatize Hang Seng Bank (00011) through an agreed arrangement under section 673 of the Companies Ordinance must (among others) obtain approval from the court meeting and shareholders' meeting to be held on January 8, 2026. If the plan is approved at the above meeting, Hang Seng Bank shares are expected to be withdrawn from listing on the Stock Exchange. The last trading day is January 14, 2026 (Wednesday).

If the relevant approval is obtained, and according to the current schedule set out in the plan documents, Hang Seng Bank will be removed from the following indices and classification indices with the closing price of the day after the market closes on January 14, 2026. The changes will take effect on January 15, 2026.
