By the end of 2024, there were 3,073 maternal and child health care institutions, 162 children's hospitals, 586,000 maternal and child health care institutions, 244,000 pediatric practitioners, and 550,000 pediatric beds nationwide. In 2024, the national neonatal mortality rate, infant mortality rate, and mortality rate of children under 5 were 2.5, 4.0, and 5.6, respectively, down 0.3, 0.5, and 0.6 thousand points from 2023, respectively.
