Meanwhile, imports of petroleum products fell by about 8.6% year on year to 4.25 million tons in November; exports of petroleum products fell 1.7% year on year to 5.25 million tons. Two people familiar with the matter revealed that after the US imposed sanctions on Russian oil producer Rosneft, India's Reliance Industries Group obtained a one-month exemption from Washington and is still receiving oil goods supplied by the company. Trade and refining industry sources said that although the market previously anticipated a sharp drop in India's oil imports from Russia, India's oil imports from Russia are expected to exceed 1 million b/d in December as refiners have resumed purchases from non-sanctioned entities offering sharp discounts.
