Tianqi Lithium announced that on December 27, 2025, local time in Chile, SQM disclosed that it had completed its strategic cooperation with Codelco and that the name of the joint venture SQM Salar will be changed to Nova Andino Litio SpA. The merger was carried out in accordance with the terms agreed in the “Partnership Agreement” signed by the two parties on May 31, 2024, but it is still subject to a dismissive condition, that is, pending a ruling by the Chilean Supreme Court on the appeal filed by Tianqi Chile, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, with the Chilean Supreme Court.
