The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Chan Mao-po, published an essay “Heading into the New Year”, which mentioned: Enhancing the functionality of the International Trade Centre. In the face of the new international economic and trade pattern and the reshaping of the industrial chain and supply chain, Hong Kong will continue to play the role and function of a “super contact” and a “super value-added person”. The state encourages mainland enterprises to go overseas to establish a global presence and participate deeply in international industrial division of labor and cooperation. Hong Kong is actively building a multinational supply chain management and trade finance center to provide overseas enterprises with various services such as supply chain management, trade finance, treasury management, professional services, compliance consulting, and corporate training. In this regard, we have set up a “Special Course for Mainland Enterprises Going Overseas” to gather the strengths of public and private institutions to provide more comprehensive support to mainland enterprises “going overseas”.
