Huang Qiang stressed that the Songyuan project is a successful example of close cooperation between the central government and the region. Relevant departments directly in the province should speed up the construction of hydrogen pipelines and support the expansion of application demonstrations of new technologies and products in new scenarios. The “Green Hydrogen No. 1” Zhongneng Songyuan Hydrogen Industrial Park project is the world's largest integrated green hydrogen-ammonia alcohol project. It plans to build 3 million kilowatts of new energy power generation and 800,000 tons of green synthetic ammonia and green methanol in stages. The first phase of the project produces 45,000 tons of green hydrogen, 200,000 tons of green ammonia and green methanol. It was officially put into operation on December 16, 2025, passed the EU ISCC sustainable development certification, and signed the world's first green ammonia ocean shipping fuel sales contract.
