Goldman Sachs warned investors in some of its alternative investment funds that their data could be leaked due to a cybersecurity breach in one of the bank's law firms. Goldman Sachs said in the letter that it has received a notice from Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP that the law firm acted as an external legal advisor to several Goldman Sachs alternative funds and that a “cybersecurity incident” occurred. Goldman Sachs said it is communicating with the firm “to better understand whether our data or customer data may have been leaked.” “Goldman Sachs systems were unaffected by this incident and are still secure.” A Goldman Sachs spokesperson said, “We will continue to work hard to protect our customers and their data.”
