The Hainan Free Trade Port officially launched the first week of the island-wide customs closure. According to Haikou Customs statistics, from December 18 to 24, Haikou Customs supervised over 400 million yuan of “first-tier” imported “zero-tariff” goods; supervised “second-tier” domestic sales and processed value-added duty-free goods over 20 million yuan. In the first week of customs clearance, Hainan added 1972 new registered foreign trade enterprises, an increase of 2.3 times over the previous year. Up to now, more than 30,000 new customs registration units have been added throughout the year, an increase of more than 40% over the previous year.
