According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the calculation results show that the Yangtze River Delta Regional Development Index in 2024 is 135.0, an increase of 2.6 over 2023. Since the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was upgraded to a national strategy in 2018, the Yangtze River Delta Regional Development Index has increased by an average of 3.3 per year. Among them, the innovation co-building and green co-insurance sub-indices increased rapidly, with 160.6 and 163.8 respectively in 2024, up 8.2 and 6.3 respectively; the sub-indices for demonstration leadership, coordination and shared livelihood increased steadily, at 129.8, 131.0, and 130.4, respectively. Compared with 2018, the average annual increase was 2.3, 4.4 and 3.1, respectively; the open and win-win sub-index fluctuated, to 106.6 in 2024.
