On December 25, the “Digital Light Source Chip Advanced Packaging and Testing Base Project”, which was selected as a major engineering project in Shanghai, officially began construction in the Lingang New Area. The project was invested and built by Shanghai Zhihui Xinhui Microelectronics Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jinghe Optoelectronics, with an initial investment of 300 million yuan. It focuses on the field of micro-LED light display integrated automotive light source chips, and will strongly promote the domestic replacement process of high-end automotive light source chips. The project covers a total area of 35 acres and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027. After completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 1.2 million micro-LED light source chips and 600,000 sets of car lamp modules.
