On December 23, the Central Regional “Material Valley” Titanium Hot Rolling Alliance was established and the Titanium Industry Integrated Development Conference was held in Loudi, Hubei. Lu Zhenggui, vice-chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the provincial advanced steel materials industry chain, attended the event. During the event, the 300,000-ton hot-rolled titanium plate and titanium composite project in Loudi City officially started production. The project makes full use of the advantage of steel industry equipment and titanium material manufacturing as high as 80%, and relies on hundreds of mature steel industry chain enterprises in the region to quickly undertake and efficiently release more than 300,000 tons of titanium processing capacity, fill the gap in large-scale and specialized titanium strip hot-rolling production in the central region, and open up key processing bottlenecks from titanium sponge and titanium ingots to high-end titanium plate strips.
