Israeli Defense Minister Katz said that when the time is right, Israel will establish a new “outpost” in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, and said that the Israeli army will continue to “form a separation zone between Palestinian armed forces and Israeli residents.” In his speech, Katz said that the Israel Defense Forces are currently “deep within the Gaza Strip,” and stressed that Israel “will never completely withdraw from Gaza.” Katz also mentioned the West Bank region, saying that the Israeli military is cooperating with relevant government departments to build new Jewish settlements and outposts.
