Using drone technology, scientists have discovered that a deadly cetacean virus may be spreading in the Arctic Circle. This study provides a critical basis for formulating protection strategies. The virus is linked to many large-scale stranding of cetaceans around the world, and early warning helps timely intervention. The study was completed in collaboration with King's College London and other institutions, and the results were published in the recent “BMC Veterinary Research” magazine.
