Uber, Lyft Partner with Baidu to Launch Robotaxis in London

07:59 AM EST, 12/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US ride-hailing companies Uber Technologies (UT8.F) and Lyft signed separate partnerships with Baidu to launch the Chinese tech giant's Apollo Go driverless vehicles in London. In their respective statements posted Monday on X, formerly Twitter, the companies said testing is expected in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Lyft also plans to deploy Apollo Go robotaxis in Germany and expand across Europe in the following years.
