Rheinmetall Hires Satim as Technology Supplier for Satellite-based Reconnaissance Program

06:51 AM EST, 12/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rheinmetall (RHM.F) engaged Polish deep-tech company Satim Monitoring Satelitarny to provide technology support for the former's satellite-based reconnaissance program used by the German Bundeswehr. Under the deal, Satim will deliver intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities to the defense technology company to transform complex radar imagery into actionable information, according to a Monday release. It will support the German satellite reconnaissance program SPOCK-1, which is operated by Rheinmetall's Iceye Space Solutions. Satim will supply the technology under the European Union framework, and Rheinmetall will use the system independently in Germany.
