The report of the Legal Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the status of filing and review work in 2025 was submitted to the 19th session of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee for review on the 22nd. The report shows that in order to fully implement the Private Economy Promotion Law, the Legal Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress is pushing for the revision and abolition of 1,466 regulatory documents of various types. The Private Economy Promotion Law will come into effect on May 20, 2025. The Legal Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress organizes and carries out centralized clean-up of regulations, rules, judicial interpretations, and other regulatory documents relating to the development of the private economy. After clean-up, 1,466 regulatory documents of various types were discovered that needed to be amended or abolished, including 81 local regulations, 2 separate regulations, 1 special economic zone regulation, 7 local people's congress resolutions and decisions, 1 judicial interpretation, 3 State Council departmental regulations and regulatory documents, 48 local government regulations, and 1,323 local government administrative regulatory documents. The Legal Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress urges the parties concerned to complete the revision and abolition of relevant regulatory documents as soon as possible in accordance with the clean-up requirements.
