The National Development and Reform Commission, the General Administration of Market Supervision, and the State Internet Information Office issued the “Internet Platform Price Conduct Rules”. The “Rules” state that when platform operators or operators within the platform sell products or provide services, they shall collect relevant fees from consumers in strict accordance with laws, regulations and contractual agreements. Platform operators and platform operators providing the following products or services shall display relevant options to consumers in a prominent manner and provide convenient cancellation methods: provide password-free payment services; provide additional services or products such as insurance, transportation services, other cooperative platform services, refund services, delay compensation, etc.; and set up automatic renewals and automatic deductions.
