According to the Taipei City Fire Department, random injuries at Taipei Station and MRT Zhongshan Station have caused 2 deaths and 7 injuries, including the assailant. Seven people were taken to the doctor at the Nanxi Eslite Mall near Zhongshan Station. After breaking into the mall, the assailant jumped from a height of about the sixth floor and died.
