On the 19th local time, Turkish Interior Minister Jerlikaya said that in the past two weeks, Turkish police, anti-terrorism, and intelligence departments have collaborated to simultaneously carry out special operations against the extremist group “Islamic State” in 32 provinces, including Ankara and Istanbul. A total of 170 people suspected of participating in or providing financial support to the organization have been arrested. Currently, 10 of them have been formally arrested, 15 have been subject to judicial control, and judicial processing of the remaining suspects is still ongoing.
