A freight train loaded with 22 fuel tankers will depart from Azerbaijan on the 18th and will travel to Armenia via Georgia. This is the first time that the Arab side has exported petroleum products to Asia since the war broke out between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the ownership of the Nagorno-Karabakh region. According to Azerbaijani media reports, gasoline shipped to Armenia is produced by the National Petroleum Company of Azerbaijan and will be exported to Asia according to international market prices. This gasoline trade was carried out in accordance with the relevant agreement reached between the two governments in November this year.
