Airbus Lands EUR30 Million Drone Services Contract from European Maritime Safety Agency

09:30 AM EST, 12/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) will deliver remotely piloted aircraft systems services under a 30 million-euro framework contract with the European Maritime Safety Agency, according to a Wednesday release. The core service includes flight operations using the French planemaker's Flexrotor uncrewed aerial system to support coast guard missions and the national competent authorities of European Union member states, Norway, and Iceland, as well as relevant EU institutions. The contract initially runs for two years, with two one-year extension options. Operations will be carried out by French drone service group Extensee from 2026.
