On December 16, the China Hearing Medicine Development Foundation and the Social Science Literature Press jointly released the blue book “China Hearing Health Report: Hearing Health in the Elderly” in Beijing. According to the “Report”, according to data from the second national sample survey of people with disabilities, the prevalence of hearing loss among people aged 60 and above ranked first among all age groups, reaching 11.04%. Based on this estimate, at least 20 million people aged 60 and above suffer from hearing loss in our country. About 1/3 of people aged 65 and over have hearing disabilities, and about 90% of people aged 80 and over will experience hearing loss.
