On December 17, 2019, the Shandong ship was delivered to the Navy at a military port in Sanya, Hainan, with the port number “17”. The Shandong ship is China's first fully self-designed, self-built, and self-supporting aircraft carrier. It is an important strategic deterrent for China. On April 26, 2017, China's first domestically produced aircraft carrier, the Shandong ship, held a launch ceremony at the Dalian shipyard. It is more than 300 meters long, and the skate take-off deck took 6 years to build. As a 60,000-ton conventional-powered aircraft carrier independently designed and built by China, since entering the list, it has developed complete combat capability and broken through many key technical bottlenecks through continuous upgrading of aviation support systems, practical ocean training, and cooperative combat verification of dual aircraft carrier formations.
