From December 5 to 15, the 3rd Cross-Strait Food Carnival was held in Sanmingsha County, Fujian. On December 12, the 3rd “Cross-Strait Youth Join Hands for the Future” — Cross-Strait Exchange and Integration Series and the opening ceremony of the 6th Cross-Strait Student Baseball League Finals was held in Shenzhen. More than 1,000 people and young people from all walks of life and youth from both sides of the Strait participated. Among them, the Cross-Strait Student Baseball League Finals attracted more than 500 athletes, coaches and referees from 20 teams on the island. Furthermore, we would also like to recommend a tool book that systematically introduces Taiwan's history — “Taiwan Encyclopedia: History” — to people on both sides of the Strait. Published by Encyclopedia of China Press, the book has 1,369 entries and 960,000 words. The entries cover prehistoric culture and up to the middle of the last century. It summarizes major events, important phenomena, representative figures and related works in Taiwan's history, and clarifies with detailed historical materials the historical facts that Taiwan has been linked by blood and culture from ancient times to China and the two sides of the Strait.
